Indigenous Treaty Day

Today marks Treaty Day at École Ness.

As a class, we rotated through 8 different activities including: a welcome from North Star, a collaborative art activity, the reading and discussion of the book "Nous sommes les protecteurs de l'eau" ("We are Water Protectors" - hear the book read HERE) a community clean-up, smudging with Pam, and more!

Here are a few pictures from the morning. Bravo to all students who participated fully in all the activities! (And a big thank you to M. Dvorak for being with us in the afternoon.)

AGENDA

1. Lecture with Je Lis or https://jeunesse.short-edition.com/

2. TOMORROW! (Tuesday, June 21) - Museum and Walking Tour Day! Please see the information page that was sent home with the permission form for details. Students should dress for the weather (we will be outside for a good part of the day) and should bring a water bottle and a bag lunch with them. Comfortable shoes for walking are also a must! There may be a chance to purchase a treat during our lunch break, but restaurant availability is not guaranteed. Students are responsible to carry their own items for the duration of the day.

3. Good luck to any soccer stars who are advancing to the semi-finals this week!
