Happy Friday!

Hello, friends of learning! Happy long-weekend Friday!

We had a busy morning together in 208!

In Math, we continued learning about ratios and, working with our table groups, wrote as many puppy ratios as we could using this picture:

Please ask me about what ratios my group and I identified! (Also, how cute are all those dogs?!)

In Français, we had a special reading treat and all played games for our 15 minutes of Français literacy!

Please ask me about the game I played. What theme of Qui suis-je? did my group have?

We also watched two "Léon" videos which inspired two share-aloud questions: "Quel est ton légume préféré?" (from THIS VIDEO) and "Aimes-tu jouer le mini-golf? Pourquoi?" (from THIS VIDEO).

We ended the morning with Science and continued our discussion about les fluides et l'air. We had some fun moving around the classroom like air (gas) particules that were being heated and then cooled! Please ask me about hot air and cool air. How do the particules change? Why is this important?

TRACK & FIELD PRACTICE SCHEDULE 

(Track and Field Day is Tuesday, June 7)

1. Running (Sprints and distance): Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00am, Wednesdays at 3:45pm

2. Long jump: Friday at 8:00am in gym.

3. High jump: Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:10 in the gym.

4. Shot put and discus: Tuesdays and Fridays 8:00am (if you are also in long jump on Fridays make sure to attend Tuesday's practice.)
