Does air have a mass?

Hello! Happy Friday!

Today in Science we tested our "Does air have a mass" hypotheses.

Using a 2L pop bottle and an air pump, we pumped air into our bottle in increments of 25 pumps and took the mass of our bottle using an electronic scale each time. We repeated this 9 times until we had a total of 225 pumps of air in our bottle. At the end, we released the pressure from the bottle and took the mass one final time.

Please ask me about the experiment. What went well and what 'hiccups' were there? What did I notice about the bottle over the course of the experiment? Does air have a mass? How do I know?

We will do the final calculations and write our conclusions next week.

Have a great weekend! :)
